L’As du Fallafel is a lively, always-buzzing spot in the Marais and easily one of the most popular street food stops in Paris. We tried the chicken shawarma, lamb and turkey shawarma, along with their house hot sauce, fries, and an Israeli beer. Everything hit the mark—the wraps were packed, juicy, and easily among the best we’ve had anywhere. The chicken shawarma in particular stood out for its flavor and freshness, while the hot sauce added a great kick without overpowering the food. The fries were simple but satisfying and worked perfectly alongside the wraps. The atmosphere is fast-paced and energetic, with a constant mix of locals and tourists, and it’s usually packed, which adds to the experience. Service was friendly despite the crowds and the quick turnover. A must-visit for anyone craving a generous, flavorful, and satisfying falafel or shawarma experience in Paris.
As a vegetarian spending ten days in Paris, I was spoilt for choice for patisserie and bonbons but was struggling to find flavourful veggie friendly savoury foods. Food - This was the place for me. Spicy, creamy sauces, hot crispy falafels and soft pillowy bread. Location - Located in the heart of the historic Jewish quarters Le Marais, this shop is insanely popular yet surprisingly cheap and the queues move fast. Even though it’s not a restaurant ambiance, I found a nice table nearby to share with strangers and I quite enjoyed that. NOTE : They take only cash but there’s an ATM nearby if you forget. This happened with me so when I returned after getting the cash, the staff was polite enough to serve me first as the queue was now much longer and I didn’t have to go all the way back again.
Such a great place! Easily one of my favorite places to eat in Paris. It is not fine dining with tablecloths, linen napkins, and fancy serveurs. If you do manage to get a table inside, it seems like chaos at first, but there is a frenetic rhythm to it that is almost hypnotic. The food is amazing, the portions tremendous, and the prices are almost unbelievable for Paris. As you stand in line for a table or for takeaway, look at the places around you with empty tables and that will tell you all you need to know.
Walkable distance from the metro and after a 15 minute wait in the queue, a guy came by taking orders directly from the line itself. Cash only, and I went for the falafel special. It was absolutely stuffed..messy in the best way possible. Sauce dripping everywhere, fillings spilling out with every bite, but damn, it tasted so good. The spicy sauce perfectly elevated the white sauce, and the falafels were crunchy, fresh, and perfectly fried. Easily one of the best street food spots in Paris. Highly recommend.
L’As du Fallafel totally lives up to the hype! The falafel is incredibly flavorful—crispy on the outside, soft on the inside—and packed with fresh ingredients and delicious sauces. Every bite feels satisfying and authentic, and the portions are generous too. The only downside is that I wish there was a proper place to sit and enjoy the food outside. Still, the taste more than makes up for it. Definitely a must-visit spot if you’re in the area!
