The DJs absolutely killed it — the dubstep and techno sets were on another level, perfectly mixed and high energy from start to finish. You could really feel how locked-in the crowd was, everyone feeding off the music and each other. The vibe on the dancefloor was unreal, with people there purely for the sound and the experience. Great crowd, great energy, and an atmosphere that made the night unforgettable. Home The Venue is definitely a go-to spot for proper electronic music nights.
I’d been looking forward to this for weeks. This is about a third-party “Vivid rooftop drone show” event held at Home The Venue, booked through Eventbrite for $59 a ticket: rooftop viewing of the Vivid drone show with direct line-of-sight, drinks included. The week before, the drone show was swapped for fireworks. No email, no message, nothing on site. The organiser ignored my message beforehand, and on the night there was no organiser present. The only representative was the venue manager, who pointed to terms and conditions that let them change the event to anything, and said all sales were final. The rooftop was about 30% of the space. The rest was a loud room with a DJ and not enough seating. As non-drinkers, the included drinks came down to a couple of soft drink options. Fireworks run in Sydney most weeks, so this wasn’t what we paid for. If you’re considering a ticketed event here, check exactly what’s promised and who’s accountable if it changes. We won’t be back!
Bought tickets for a Vivid rooftop experience. It was touted as an amazing place to view the lights and drone show or fireworks. It was absolutely awful. No directions to find the entry point... loads of people walking around trying to find it. Stinky, loud and a tiny cramped balcony claiming to be a rooftop bar. The best viewing positions were taken up by photographers with tripods and there was no thought about the best viewing arrangements for paying guests. Crappy drink selection. Completely inappropriate music choice and volume for the crowd and the staff were completely disinterested. Biggest waste of money. We gave away our included drinks to get out of the place.
5 sept 2025 -lights , screens aircannons, music, song remixes were amaZING -Wished the iheartkpop - kpop demon hunters event actually showed an itinerary of song list in order... (most of my friends can't stay that late and I don't know any songs and came ONLY for kpop demon hunters songs...) -Also WHY was it not written that byo drinks not allowed?? (Empty bottles neither?!) (So many people were stopped cause we didn't know) -Also arriving with 1 ID wasn't enough?! Who would bring their passport to a party??!! Just the drivers licence wasn't enough?! - too bad there's no where to put bags and belongings down other then the sticky floor.
Amazing disco event! Due to starting at 6 pm it was far more accessible for dancers of all ages. DJ was great and the atmosphere just electric.
